Polaris BIOS Editor (PBE) – This is a program for setting the timings (strap) BIOS video cards. This is necessary to increase the performance of the video card in mining or games.
We recommend using this version if you do not have an RX 590
+ Improved timings for Hynix, Elpida
+ Added support for RX 590
+ Updated interface
If something doesn’t work out in version 1.7.2, use version 1.6.7!
Now it is able to automatically recognize and select timings for your memory. This is a very useful feature for beginners.
There are also paid versions of PBE 3 pro, 2.0 and 2.1, you do not need them at all, these are more simplified versions for beginners, with versions 1.6.x, 1.7.x you can easily cope on your own.
The manual editing of timings has not disappeared, this is the main functionality of Polaris
What’s New in 1.6.7:
- New timings for Micron
- Added support for modern graphics cards
Polaris Bios Editor: Instruction manual

You can change the voltage in the gpu and memory graphs, if you do not understand what it is, it is better not to flatter, your card will turn into a brick.
Target temperature – this is the temperature that the card will try to maintain, either increasing the cooler speed or lowering the frequencies, which is used less often, it all depends on the manufacturer.
Power control limit – if you do not want to use the afterburner, then this is similar to the Power limit, lower it in the same way.
If you want to turn on the fan, then in the fan column you can configure all this, if with a downtime the fan does not turn on at all, then change Min pwm to a positive value, in percent.
Unlocking additional shaders is not available for all cards by polaris bios editor, and this is best done through SRBPolaris.
